What are Biomass fuels?
Any organic matter available on a renewable basis is
considered biomass fuel. These fuels include
dedicated energy crops and trees, agricultural food
and feed-crop residues, wood and wood residues,
animal wastes and other waste material. Alternative
methane fuels include landfill methane, digester gas
and distillation gas from wastewater treatment processes, and coalbed
methane among others.

With 40 years of international biomass
experience,
Mid-South Engineering has the
knowledge and understanding of how
to turn biomass into energy and we
have the design capabilities to turn
concepts into reality.
Our renewal energy experience
includes progress and performance
reviews for the U.S. Department of
Energy - Agenda 2020 Renewable
Energy Research Projects,
co-generation design and studies,
fuel pelletizing and the capture and
use of methane.
We
have provided engineering solutions
for Bio-Mass Burners at some of the
largest industrial plants in North
America; from the feedstock handling
to the final emissions controls, let
us utilize our abilities to help you
solve your energy needs.
