Mid-South is an Arkansas based corporation with offices in Hot Springs, Arkansas, Cary, North Carolina, and Orono, Maine.
Marc has been with Mid-South for over 20 years, most recently holding the positions of Vice President-Administration and Chief Financial Officer. Marc received his BSME from Louisiana Tech University and he earned an MBA from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Before joining Mid-South, Marc held engineering and product management positions with a manufacturer of water circulation/filtration equipment and was a design engineer in the aerospace industry.

Richard Melan, PEng

Richard began his career with the Stolberg Group shortly after graduating from the University of British Columbia over 30 years ago. He brings decades of consulting experience in the wood/building products industry in the design of sawmills, pulp mill wood rooms and wood pellet plants. He has been involved in every facet of the mechanical design process from plant layout, equipment design, specification, tendering, lists and project management.

Rod has been with the Stolberg Group for 51 years, starting with Stolberg Construction in 1968. Rod worked up through the ranks to project superintendent in charge of all construction disciplines on projects up to 250 workers. 1975, he became Manager of our Prince George office managing all facets of construction management. Stolberg Engineering was formed in 1980, and from 1982 until 1994 Stolberg preformed many projects on a “Design-Build” platform which Rod became heavily involved in, and advanced to V.P. of Project Planning and Development. From 1984 to present Rod has been involved in 113 major projects, plus numerous smaller forest related projects including sawmills, planermills, wood rooms, plywood plants and pellet plants.

Tyler has experience on over 200 projects in 9 years with Mid-South serving as project engineer, project manager, and Engineer of Record. A licensed Professional Engineer in 9 states, Tyler’s expertise lies in structural design of industrial projects. Tyler is active in multiple technical and professional societies and is currently the State Director for the Arkansas Society of Professional Engineers.
