Texas Sawmill
The Pineland complex was upgraded from a chipmill, studmill, and plywood facility to include a dimension lumber sawmill. The mill modernization involved the addition of a new log yard, sawmill, kilns, cooling shed and product storage building, and a new planermill located inside the existing plywood plant. ( the plywood plant was modified to produce dry veneer only.)
The Pineland mill modernization was based upon available area at the existing plant site with the intention of using the latest “state of the art” equipment to properly and most efficiently process the incoming fiber. The overall layout allowed for movement of processed material from one area to the next.
